The groomers at Caring Fur Canines have over 35 years of combined experience. Sue certified with the International Professional Groomers Association. Tabatha is a Certified Master Groomer with National Dog Groomers Association of America. Both Sue and Tabatha have their animal CPR certifications.

Our prices are based on the breed, size, your dog’s temperament, the condition of their coat, and the total time required to safely complete the groom. Any quotes given over the phone are only estimates and not guaranteed.

All dogs are evaluated and services are discussed with the owner at check in. Full service grooms include a bath, dry, brush out, nail trim, sanitary trim, ears cleaned and the haircut that was discussed and agreed upon with your groomer.

There are times after we start the grooming process when we find what was discussed is not possible. We will always call you to discuss other grooming options.

We groom one dog at a time and by appointment only. In most cases for dogs that are on a regular 6 or 8 week grooming schedule you can expect a small dog to take one hour, medium size one and a half hours, and large dogs to be 2 hours. Extra-large and heavy coated dogs will take longer. These times are approximate and new dogs being groomed by us for the first time may take a bit longer so we can spend a little extra time getting to know your dog.

We highly recommend our clients make their next appointment at check out. This will assure you get a day and time that is convenient for you. New clients should call a minimum of 3 weeks before their dog is in need of grooming.

Yes, if you want to be added to the wait list we will be more than happy to give you a call if there is a cancellation.

Certainly, you are welcome to stop in during normal business hours and we can give you a brief salon tour. If you have a lot of questions or concerns we ask that you call ahead of time and make arrangements so we have extra time to spend with you.

You are welcome to stay in the waiting room while your dog is being groomed. For your safety, no one except the staff is allowed beyond the gate. This is a phone free and quiet zone, as it becomes a distraction for your dog and the groomer.

We do offer nail trimming services. We do recommend you give us a call to schedule a time that is convenient for you and a groomer. We can usually accommodate nail services the same day.

We do not express anal glands. If your dog is having an issue with glands there could be an underlying medical condition. This should be cared for by your vet.
